Our 10-year-old grandson has been attending Organic Roots Nature
Camps for the past two years – and he has loved every minute of it –
everything from nature hikes to food gathering/preparation, i.e, which
berries, roots are edible and which should be avoided. He’s also learned
about using what can be found in the woods to make their shelter.
In addition to learning so much about nature and how important it is to
preserve what we have, he has also developed friendships with the
other campers and has learned the importance of working together.
He is very excited about attending this summer and has even told his
school teacher about it. She, in turn, is interested in planning a school
field trip to Organic Roots Farm.
Organic Roots Farm Nature Camp is truly a wonderful, enlightening
experience for our children. They develop survival skills,
communication skills and mindfulness as they learn the importance of
taking care of the planet, being kind and helpful to one another.
